Harold Wright, Artistic Director

Mr. Wright was the associate director of Orlando Gay Chorus for several years and experienced many successful seasons of music-making and community involvement. Currently working on his Masters Degree in Music Education from the College of Music at Florida State University, Mr. Wright is excited to bring his knowledge and skills to the chorus. Mr. Wright earned a Bachelors of Music Education from Baldwin-Wallace College, Conservatory of Music. Mr. Wright teaches public school music in Florida.

He has taught singers of all ages, from grades K-12, and even adults in his church choir and community chorus work. Mr. Wright excitedly leads the Orlando Gay Chorus with this quote in mind, "As the world teaches one to be an individual, Music teaches a world of individuals to be One!" -Harold Wright

Jenny Cate Hodil, Associate Artistic Director

Jenny Cate is thrilled to step into the role of Associate Artistic Director for the Orlando Gay Chorus! Ms. Hodil has taught music in public schools throughout Central Florida for 13 years, and currently teaches middle school chorus, piano, and musical theater. She earned a Bachelor of Music Education from Florida State University and a Master of Music from Northwestern University. Jenny Cate believes in developing self-efficacy through music performance and is excited to bring her passion to OGC.


Sue Glerum, Principal Accompanist

Sue earned her Master of Music degree in Music Theory from the Eastman School of Music and her Bachelor of Music degree in Music Theory from Stetson University. She is a Music Specialist at the University of Central Florida School of Performing Arts where she teachers Music Theory, is a collaborative pianist in musical theatre, voice, and acting classes, and coaches students in voice. This is Sue’s 17th year with the Orlando Gay Chorus.

Debbie Drobney, Principal ASL Interpreter

A Professor of Sign Language and Sociology, Debbie coordinates the popular sign language program at Valencia College. Throughout her 22 years as a sign language professional, Debbie has interpreted for the theater.  She greatly enjoys mentoring her Valencia students who regularly interpret our major concerts.
